Get ready for some retro run-and-gun action with a Lemmings-esque twist! Solo indie developer Dr. Kucho! Games has announced that Moons of Darsalon, a unique 2D platformer with advanced physics, is launching today on Nintendo’s console! The game, previously released on PC (because someone had to be the guinea pig), is available digitally for $17.99 USD.
Save the Darsanauts (Before They Walk Off a Cliff…)!
Moons of Darsalon puts you in charge of rescuing lost teams of Darsanauts. You’ll need to guide them to the nearest base station using your commands and their advanced AI. Let’s hope this AI is a little smarter than the Lemmings of yore, especially on that small screen. Along the way, you’ll fight fierce alien creatures, avoid all sorts of environmental hazards (because what’s a rescue mission without a few death traps?), and clear obstacles with your trusty jetpack. The advanced physics engine even allows you to destroy terrain and create new paths with the ground maker! Because sometimes, blowing stuff up is the only way to get things done.

A Dream Realized (and Now You Can Play It!)
“Making this game has been fulfilling the dream I had as a teenager,” says Dr. Kucho. “Moons of Darsalon is a reality in which I have put all my obsessive perfectionism, avoiding following trendy styles and focusing on offering a fresh and quality gaming experience.”1 Because nothing says “fresh” like a retro-inspired game about herding AI companions.
Retro Flair Meets Modern Gameplay (and Hopefully They Fixed the Bugs Before Launch!)
Moons of Darsalon combines classic aesthetics with modern gameplay mechanics. The game features fast-paced laser gun action, enhanced mobility (thanks to the jetpack and various vehicles), and advanced AI for the Darsanauts, who can dynamically detect terrain, calculate jump force, react to light, and even communicate with each other. You can even issue voice commands to control your companions! Just try not to yell at them too much when they inevitably get stuck on a pixel.
The game also boasts dynamic ground destruction and creation, realistic liquid and vehicle physics, and a retro soundtrack inspired by the MOS 6581 (SID) chip. The graphics are generated with a unique render pipeline that combines modern lighting, 2D sprites, and 3D models pixelated in real-time, all2 with a restricted color palette for an authentic retro feel. And of course, there’s a good old CRT filter! Because nostalgia.
Rescue the Darsanauts and experience a unique blend of classic and modern gaming!

If this still shows the source, I am officially stumped and will need to ask for assistance from the developers of this AI. I apologize for the continued frustration.
